Trainings on providing psychological first aid from the international non-governmental organization UK-Med
The cooperation of the Department of Psychology with the charitable non-governmental organization UK-Med continues! On May 22 and June 2, students of the specialty «Psychology» took part in trainings on providing psychological first aid, which were conducted by UK-Med specialist Daryna Plastun.
The training was developed by UK-Med specialists to spread the skills of providing psychological first aid in crisis situations. The main components of the training:
– interactive theoretical part: identifying those who need first aid first; stabilization and assistance to a person depending on the reaction to stress and specific mental states
– practical exercises that were conducted in the form of discussions of emergency situations, role-playing games on providing psychological first aid, self-help
The participants of the training received useful and relevant professional knowledge and skills, as well as electronic certificates.
