Celebration of the 290th anniversary of the birth of G.S. Skovoroda
On November 16, 2012, the Department of Philosophy held a thematic educational event on the topic «The world caught me, but did not catch me». G.S. Skovoroda as a philosopher without a system.”
The lesson, which was conducted by associate professors Volodin P.V., Povzlo O.M. and assistant. Gordiychenko V.V. (in the image of the Ukrainian Pioneer G.S. Skovoroda), was performed by the assistant to the rector for international relations, associate professor Andrienko O.M., poet, member of the National Union of Writers of Ukraine, librarian of the Department of Fiction of ZNTU Vira Fedorivna Shmyga. There was musical accompaniment by student Kartinin Maksym on the saxophone, and students from Turkmenistan read in Turkmen the works of the poet Mukhtymkula (who lived at the same time as Skovoroda (18th century).) The lesson highlighted the multifaceted philosophical and literary heritage of the Ukrainian philosopher.
His poetic works, retellings, and fables were read.
The event was dedicated to the 290th anniversary of the philosopher’s birth.
