A student of the Zaporizhzhya Polytechnic is among the silver medalists of the Cup of Nations in beach volleyball

On July 17-20, the final of the Cup of Nations took place in Portugal, where the women’s beach volleyball team of Ukraine took part. The national team consisted of two teams with two players each: Maryna Gladun and Tetyana Lazarenko; Valentina Davydova and Angelina Khmil.

Tetyana Lazarenko, master of sports of Ukraine of the international class in beach volleyball, as well as a master’s student of Zaporizhzhya Polytechnic University, represented Ukraine worthily at the competition.

The Ukrainian women’s national team took silver in the Cup of Nations. The Ukrainian national team played undefeated in its group, where it beat the teams of Spain, Portugal and Estonia. From the first place in the group, the Ukrainian couples immediately reached the semi-finals, where they defeated the team of the Netherlands. However, in the final, the Ukrainian team met difficult opponents, the German national team, to whom they lost the gold.
