Working visit to Poltava Polytechnic: sharing experiences in the field of mental health
The Coordination Center for Mental Health of the CMU continues the tradition of working visits to universities and invited representatives of higher education institutions of Ukraine, which coordinate the implementation of the All-Ukrainian mental health program “How are you?” — the initiative of First Lady Olena Zelenska, to take part in a working visit to the Yuriy Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic National University.
On October 3, representatives of the Zaporizhzhya Polytechnic — coordinator of the Psychological Service Alyona Sadykina and practical psychologist Yehor Bobrov — took an active part in this meeting, got acquainted with the best practices of the psychological services of the Higher Education Institutions of Ukraine, shared their own experiences and discussed the possibilities of further cooperation.
The program of the event included a review of the achievements of the Poltava Polytechnic National University. Yuriy Kondratyuk”: multifunctional site “Green Room”, educational and practical auditorium named after V. I. Vernadsky, laboratory of psychodiagnostics and correctional and developmental work, Center of Contemporary Art, Center for Education and Care of Preschool Children, rehabilitation center, Open space auditorium and other spaces where elements of the mental health program are implemented.
Among the participants of the meeting is Oksana Zbitneva, head of the Coordination Center for Mental Health of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, who outlined the main directions of development of the program “How are you?” and shared insights from student surveys.
The program of the visit included:
– panel discussions “How are you?” is sprouting in universities: what is already being done?»
– introduction and analysis of the system of professional training of non-medical specialists in the field of mental health
– networking and open conversations
– a tour of the spaces of the Poltava Polytechnic, where initiatives in the field of mental health are implemented
Our representatives were particularly interested in the experience of creating a laboratory for neuropsychological diagnostics and a space for psychological examination.
We thank Yuriy Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic University for openness and readiness to receive a delegation of colleagues and friends. Such meetings inspire, unite the educational community and strengthen the belief that mental health care is an integral part of the development of a modern university.
