Presentation of the book “Borisov, construction squad, session, students” by Ivan Kiyko
On October 24, employees of the Museum of the History of Technical Progress of Zaporizhzhya Polytechnic University organized a presentation of the book “Borysov, Budzagin, Session, Students” by Ivan Kiik, a graduate of our university in the 80s, on the basis of the educational hub. The presentation took place as part of the celebration of the 125th anniversary of the Polytechnic and was dedicated to the Day of motorists and road workers.
“Borysov, budzagin, session, students” is Ivan Kiik’s 5th book. Today, the author is the head of the design and construction department of Dniprospetsstal JSC. Has 2 patents for inventions, more than 15 innovative proposals, laureate of the A. F. Tregubenko prize.
Pro-rector Andrii Ivanchenko congratulated the participants and the author of the book. University teachers and students joined the meeting. It was interesting for some to remember their student years, and for modern students to hear about the life of the older generation.
Serhii Belikov, who was rector of our university for more than 20 years and helped the author with material for the book, shared his memories. The book was edited by Kateryna Bondarchuk, an associate professor at the Department of Ukrainian Studies and General Language Training. She spoke about her impressions of the story. Oleksiy Kuzkin, dean of the transport faculty, told about his fond memories of studying at the automotive faculty of the Mechanical Engineering Institute.
Mr. Ivan presented his book to the university library, the museum, the transport faculty and the rector of Zaporizhzhya Polytechnic University Viktor Greshta.
