Representatives of Zaporizhzhya Polytechnic at an expert meeting on energy efficiency in Munich
From June 14, an expert information meeting “Education in the energy efficiency sector — the latest approaches to the organization of the educational and research process” is taking place in Munich. The participants of the study tour are national Ukrainian experts. They visit German organizations dealing with qualifications and professional training in energy efficiency.
The informational tour promotes the further exchange of experiences between the participants, and they also took part in discussions and expert presentations. During the meeting, Ukrainian experts learned to identify success factors and predict challenges during the implementation of energy-efficient methods in organizations.
During the first meeting, employees of the Department of Education and Sports in Munich presented the “FiftyFifty” school energy saving program and other climate projects.
The experience of our university in the field of implementation of energy-efficient technologies was presented by vice-rector Andriy Ivanchenko, who presented the innovative projects of the university and the development program of the Energy-Innovation Hub of Zaporizhzhya Polytechnic University.
Participants met with heads of organizations working in the field of energy efficiency. The experts talked about their approach to training and providing qualifications, as well as provided valuable recommendations for the further development of Ukrainian energy innovation hubs.
Also, the participants of the expert meeting visited Prinz Eugen, a modern residential area of Munich, which was created on the site of a former military area. The district is an example of sustainable urban planning: energy-efficient housing, inclusive infrastructure and one of the largest wooden housing projects in Germany, which serves as a model of socially balanced urban development.
The educational tour takes place within the framework of the project “Promotion of energy efficiency and implementation of the EU Directive on energy efficiency in Ukraine”, which is carried out by GIZ on behalf of the governments of Germany and Switzerland.
We are proud to join the implementation of energy efficiency in Ukraine!
