Representatives of the Zaporizhzhya Polytechnic, associate professor of the Department of Electric Drives and Automation of Industrial Plants Olena Nazarova and associate professor of the Department of Transport Technologies Olena Ostroglyad participated in the International Week “Erasmus+ International Staff Week”, which was held on the basis of the Polytechnic Institute of Porto (P.PORTO) in Portugal. During the week, female teachers participated in activities aimed at professional development, international cooperation and exchange of best practices in the field of higher education.
Participants visited various P.PORTO schools and campuses, including: School of Education (ESE), School of Accounting and Management (ISCAP), School of Engineering (ISEP), School of Health (ESS), School of Music and Performing Arts (ESMAE), School of Management and Technology (ESTG), School of Media Arts and Design (ESMAD), and School of Hospitality and Tourism (ESHT).
During the week, a large number of seminars, presentations and discussions were held, dedicated to the current topics of modern education, sustainable development, innovations in the field of engineering, digital technologies and socio-economic challenges. In addition, the participants took part in interactive workshops, creative sessions with students and teachers, and also visited research centers and laboratories of P.PORTO.
As part of the academic exchange, representatives of Zaporizhzhya Polytechnic also held lectures for students of the ISEP School of Engineering. Olena Nazarova delivered the lectures “Electropneumatic Mechatronic Systems” and “Multi-Mass Electromechanical Systems”, in which she revealed the current theoretical and practical aspects of scientific research in these areas. Olena Ostroglyad presented lectures on the topic “Simulation of Transport and Logistics Systems”, introduced the audience to the prospects for the development of this direction and conducted a practical workshop on simulation.
Docents received certificates for participation in the International Week and teaching mobility within the Erasmus+ framework program.
An important part of the week was the active communication of the participants, exchange of experience and discussion of possible directions of further cooperation with colleagues from different countries. Participation in such international events is a significant contribution to the professional growth of teachers, the introduction of innovations in the educational process, and the development of the internationalization of our university. The experience gained and new contacts will contribute to further academic and scientific cooperation at the European level.
