The first meeting of partners of the international Erasmus+ project "Creating Champions for Change (CC4C)"
On February 2, the Kick-off meeting of the international project “Creating Champions for Change (CC4C)”, funded by the EU under the Erasmus+ program, took place in Yerevan. Representatives of partner organizations from Serbia, Greece, Armenia and Ukraine took part in the event, including a delegation from Zaporizhia Polytechnic National University.
The Polytechnic was represented by the Head of the Department of Physical Culture and Sports Management Vasyl Mazin and Associate Professor of the Department of Physical Culture, Olympic and Non-Olympic Sports Borys Kokarev.
The CC4C project (№101244026) belongs to the “Capacity Building in Sport” direction and is aimed at combating gender-based violence in sports, primarily in football, both in the real environment and in the online space. Its key goal is to create a safe, inclusive and equal sports environment, raise awareness among young people, coaches and sports organizations about the issue of violence and create a culture of respect and equality.
During the kick-off meeting, the partners discussed the structure and content of future work, the division of responsibilities between organizations, project management issues, financial aspects and the implementation plan for key activities. Significant attention was paid to the coordination of research activities, the development of educational materials, the organization of trainings for coaches and young athletes, as well as the implementation of information campaigns to combat gender-based violence in sports.
The participation of NU “Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic” in the CC4C project involves:
– research into manifestations of gender-based violence in football
– development of educational programs and methodological materials
– training for coaches and youth
– organization of information and educational events
– local management of project activities
Activity within the project will contribute to the development of scientific research in the field of sports, the expansion of international cooperation, the implementation of modern approaches to ensuring a safe sports environment and increasing the social responsibility of the sports community.
The results of the CC4S project, which will be implemented during 2025–2027, are aimed at long-term positive changes in the sports environment and society in general.
