Victory of a graduate of Zaporizhia Polytechnic at Kaunas Ruduo 2025
This year Roman Shchypkov, a graduate of Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic University, took part in the one-day retro rally Kaunas Ruduo 2025. His team drove more than 1500 km on an old ZAZ from Zaporizhia to Kaunas (Lithuania) on their own to take part in this event.
Despite the difficult road, the team took 1st place in the rally itself. The participants dedicated this victory to Ukraine, its indomitable soldiers and the 125th anniversary of the Polytechnic.
This victory was made possible thanks to the partners Company PROGRESS, the Graviton plant, TM Eurol, the Lithuanian transport company Autodamas and, of course, the organizers of the rally.
Mr. Roman shares his impressions: “For us, it was a one-day challenge – a long road, a competition, a struggle for a result. But this path is only a weak and insufficient reflection of the path that Ukraine has been traveling for 11 years. Ukrainian soldiers are not just defending their land — they are proving to the whole world that freedom is not a gift. Freedom is chosen. Freedom is held firmly in their hands. Freedom is never given. Just as we crossed our path to the finish line, Ukraine will cross its path to Victory. We believe that the day will come when the Ukrainian flag will finally and indisputably fly over all its borders. And then the whole world will see not just a state, but a people who have proven their independence with strength of spirit, courage and self-sacrifice.”
Congratulations on the victory and proud of our star graduates!
