Zaporizhia Polytechnic National University at a strategic session on integrity in education
Representatives of Zaporizhzhya Polytechnic National University took part in the strategic session “Virtue in Education: From Recommendations to Actions”, organized by the National Agency for Corruption Prevention. The event is dedicated to the implementation of Methodological recommendations for ensuring transparency and integrity in higher education institutions of Ukraine. The session was attended by representatives from 11 universities of the country.
The delegation of Zaporizhzhya Polytechnic was represented by: vice-rector Ruslan Kulikovsky; Alyona Stadnyk, Head of the Department of Prospective Development, Licensing, Accreditation and Education Quality; the authorized person for the prevention and detection of corruption Ksenia Khodak and the head of student self-government Sofia Stepanenko.
During the session, the participants performed tasks in groups:
— formed a vision of integrity in higher education institutions
— outlined current problems, identified challenges and looked for ways to systematically develop a virtuous environment
— performed role-playing work that contributed to the development of practical steps for the implementation of principles of integrity
— determined priority actions for higher education institutions
Special attention of the participants was attracted by the presentation panel “Recommendations for the development of integrity in higher education institutions: idea, meanings, priorities, challenges”, which was attended by: the head of the NAZYAVO secretariat, Oleksandr Khymenko; Oleg Sharov, Director General of the Directorate of Higher Education and Adult Education of the Ministry of Education and Culture; Iryna Tymchenko, head of the Department of Educational Work and Educational Programs of the NAKC; Serhiy Mytkalyk, chairman of the board of the NGO “Anti-Corruption Headquarters”; expert of NGO “Association of Legal Clinics of Ukraine” Anna Fedorenko.
