Lecture on barrier-free Zaporizhia Polytechnic

On May 22, the lecture “Barrier-free as a system of equal opportunities” was held for students and teachers of Zaporizhzhya Polytechnic University. The lecture is devoted to the basics of barrier-free accessibility, as well as the development of a culture of respect and dignity. The speaker was Yana Artyukh, a specialist in interaction with mass media and the public of the Zaporizhia Customs.

During the lecture, the participants learned:

— types of barrier-free accessibility and ideas of each direction
— ways of implementing inclusiveness in society
— rules for communication without barriers

The event is organized within the framework of the National Barrier-Free Week to draw society’s attention to the need to create an accessible environment and equal opportunities for all citizens, by raising awareness of solutions and reforms in the context of creating barrier-free spaces, services and information.
