Stage 1 of the 16th International Taras Shevchenko Language and Literary Competition for School and Student Youth
On October 30, the 1st (university) stage of the 16th Taras Shevchenko International Language and Literary Competition for Pupils and Student Youth, dedicated to the 125th anniversary of the university, took place at Zaporizhia Polytechnic University.
The organizer and coordinator of the event was the Department of Ukrainian Studies and General Language Training of the Faculty of Humanities.
Representatives of almost all faculties of the university took part in the competition — 18 of the best connoisseurs of the Ukrainian language, including: Sofia Stryzhak (M–615), Ihor Antyukhov (KNT–115), Anastasia Stolyarchuk (UFKS–215), Polina Kharina (SN–115), Eva Yezhova (BK–815), Polina Pauk (BTE-0815), Oleksandra Lomteva (BAD–535), Victoria Pelivanova (SN–123), Oleksandr Batrak (GF–215), Vyacheslav Shelykh (KNT–115sp), Ksenia Perekhrest (BTE–1615), Dmytro Chupik (SN–115), Karolina Morozova (UFKS–215), Victoria Galushko (GF–115sp), Maria Klymenko (GF–415), Polina Fedorchenko (SN–115), Roman Tovt (KNT–215), Olga Danilova (GF–415).
Associate professor of the Department of Ukrainian Studies and General Language Training, moderator of the event, Tetyana Bilenko, familiarized the participants with the rules of the competition, presented the topics of creative works and inspired students to deeply understand the multifaceted nature of Shevchenko’s heritage.
The topic of the tasks contributed to rethinking the genius of the poetic world of Veliky Kobzar, his spiritual mission and the relevance of the word in the modern world.
After checking the works, a highly qualified jury will determine the winners who will represent the university at the regional stage of the competition.
Shevchenko’s world is beyond time, and each new generation discovers in it the meanings of their time, being convinced of how important it is to live according to Shevchenko’s will!
