Forum “Youth Policy and Participation: Youth Driving Change”
On June 10, the forum “Youth Policy and Participation: Youth at the helm of change” was held in Lviv. The students of Zaporizhia Polytechnic University were represented by the head of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Arina Bogma.
During the forum, students discussed how young people can not only join initiatives, but also influence decision-making, the development of communities, educational environments, and youth policy.
One of the important blocks was the speeches “Paths of Change: Stories of Participation”, where participants shared their experience in implementing youth projects, the work of youth centers, councils, educational environments, and the POWER4Girls program.
A separate part of the program was a public conversation with musician Pavel Gudimov. The focus of the conversation was on culture, freedom, creative expression, responsibility and opportunities for youth in Ukraine.
The participants also worked in the format of a collaborative route workshop and joined the foresight “Ukraine 2027: Where are youth really at the helm?”, during which they formed a vision of the future of youth participation, identified challenges, opportunities and steps that should be implemented now.
Participation in the forum became a valuable opportunity to gain new knowledge, exchange experiences and see practical approaches useful for the development of student self-government and youth initiatives at the university. Working together – developing together!
