Blog cafe "Motivation and self-motivation as the main factors influencing goal achievement"
On September 11, students of the Faculty of Humanities and the Faculty of Social Sciences of Zaporizhzhya Polytechnic National University became participants in a blog cafe dedicated to the basic aspects of leadership – motivation and self-motivation.
The event was conducted by Hanna Kavun, a graduate of the “Journalism” specialty of Zaporizhzhya Polytechnic University, ambassador of the “Together We Can” Empowerment Program for public leaders in Ukraine, which is implemented by the NGO “Social Interaction”, Zaporizhia Polytechnic University in cooperation with the NGO “Human Rights Foundation” (Kyiv) with the support of the Institute of External Cultural Relations and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Republic Germany.
Participants took part in various activities and learned:
? what is “leadership” – everyone offered their own and selected associations related to this trait, together they determined the key qualities of a true leader, types and styles of leadership
? what is the difference between the concepts of “motivation” and “self-motivation” – the components of success were discussed: during the “motivation treasury” exercise, everyone shared their own experience of finding motivation to implement their ideas, and also gave examples when it was not enough
? how to effectively use external and internal resources
During the situational game “Move me if you can”, the students derived the formula for the success of motivation: “I can + I want = motivation”. Even if internal resources are not enough, there is always external influence from relatives, friends or colleagues.
Thank you all for participating! We work together — we develop together.
