May 8 is the Day of Remembrance and Victory over Nazism in the Second World War
This day is a reminder of the victory over one of the most horrific regimes in human history and the price it paid for freedom. A price measured in millions of destroyed destinies, lives and cities.
Ukraine remembers. She remembers how her lands became a field of bloody battles. She remembers how her sons and daughters fought – on the fronts, in the underground, in the rear. He remembers the feat of a simple soldier.
Today, when our country again defends its freedom, independence and human dignity with weapons in hand, this memory adds strength, builds stability and unity, reminds us: the struggle for peace is not an abstraction, it is a choice and a path.
We honor everyone who won the Victory for posterity.
We remember. Never again.
