Participation of the Vice-Rector of Zaporizhia Polytechnic National University in the Expert Commission for Evaluating the Efficiency of the Physical and Technological Institute of Metals and Alloys of the NAS of Ukraine

Valeriy Naumyk, Vice-Rector for Scientific and Pedagogical Work and International Activities of the Zaporizhia Polytechnic National University, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor, became a member of the Expert Commission for Evaluating the Efficiency of the Activities of the Physical and Technological Institute of Metals and Alloys of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine for the Period 2018–2024.

The participation of the Vice-Rector of the Polytechnic in the Commission is in accordance with the Order of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine dated 09.12.2024 No. 694 “On Evaluating the Efficiency of the Activities of Scientific Institutions of the NAS of Ukraine in 2025” and in accordance with the decision of the Standing Commission on Scientific Areas at the Section of Physical, Technical and Mathematical Sciences of the NAS of Ukraine (Minutes No. 1 dated 21.02.2025 r.).

During the evaluation visit on November 12–13, the commission examined in detail the staff, main areas of research, significant achievements, cooperation with the international professional community and other aspects of the activities of the Institute’s scientific departments. The commission also examined and assessed the existing scientific and technical research base of the Institute and the effectiveness of its use.

Thus, the Physical and Technological Institute of Metals and Alloys of the NAS of Ukraine was recognized as a unique scientific and research institution that occupies leading positions in the field of foundry production and metallurgy, has significant scientific fundamental and applied results of its activities, recognized at the international and national levels. The institute can be classified as category “A”.
