Staff Week “Defining AI in Science (DAiSI)”
From April 20 to 24, the Staff Week “Defining AI in Science (DAiSI)” was held at the University of Offenburg (Germany). The event was attended by 22 representatives of universities from Poland, Bulgaria, Latvia, France, Spain, Switzerland, Colombia, Brazil and Ukraine.
NU “Zaporizhzhya Polytechnic” was represented by Alina Kazurova, Head of the Internationalization Department, Olena Nazarova, Associate Professor of the Department of Electric Drive and Automation of Industrial Installations, and Dmytro Shyrokorad, Associate Professor of the Department of System Analysis and Computational Mathematics.
During the week, the participants discussed transformations in higher education and science related to the use of artificial intelligence, participated in workshops on the use of AI tools in the educational process, scientific and administrative activities, performed practical tasks and acquired relevant competence.
The networking and bandcamps took place in a friendly atmosphere, which contributed to the establishment of professional contacts and the search for new opportunities for international cooperation.
A visit was organized to the campus in Gengenbass, as well as to the Simon Group production in Eichhalden, where elements of artificial intelligence have been successfully implemented in organizational processes. The participants also visited the monastery in Alpirsbass and had the opportunity to feel the atmosphere of an old German town.
A week of intensive work, exchange of experience and intercultural communication opened up new opportunities for further joint initiatives and the development of international partnerships. Working together – developing together!
