Training week and coordination meeting for the WORK4CE project
On March 27-31, a training week and coordination meeting was held at the De Nayer campus of the Catholic University of Leuven (KU Leuven), Belgium, within the framework of the Erasmus+ KA2 international educational project “Interdisciplinary competences for ensuring healthy and safe work in the 21st century” (619034-EPP-1-2020-1-UA-EPPKA2-CBHE-JP). Representatives of 9 partner educational institutions from Germany, Belgium, Azerbaijan, the Basque Country and Ukraine took part in the event. Zaporizhia Polytechnic National University, which is the grant holder of the project, was represented by: project coordinator, professor of the “Software” department, Halyna Tabunshchik; vice-rector for scientific work Vadym Shalomeev, dean of the transport faculty Oleksiy Kuzkin and professor of the “International tourism and economy” department Andriy Karpenko.
The program of the training week was intense and intense. Each of the consortium participants reported in a seminar format on the current state of work on the development of digital educational materials for project modules (https://old.zp.edu.ua/?q=node/8367, work4ce.eu/) and presented a lecture based on the use of these materials for the consideration of colleagues. Professor Serhiy Subbotin, head of the “Software” department, delivered a report on the development of educational materials for the “Data Analytics for Work” module in a remote format. Those present had the opportunity to evaluate the quality of the developed module in accordance with international standards https://oscqr.suny.edu/standard1/, coordinate the work of communities of practice and provide useful advice on improving the developed educational materials taking into account the requirements of the modern labor market.
During the coordination meeting chaired by the project coordinator Halyna Tabunshchik and Professor Peter Arras (Catholic University of Leuven), the participants presented and discussed the results of the work for the current reporting period regarding the project team members from each educational institution, pilot training based on the developed educational materials in partner institutions, acquisition and joint use of laboratory equipment and software, dissemination of information about the project and accreditation of the developed educational modules. An independent assessment of the quality of educational materials was carried out by external expert engineer van Dirk Merode, and he provided his recommendations regarding the visual identification of the program and project in the materials.
Participants of the training week were offered by the organizers an interesting lecture by Professor Jan Ivens (Catholic University of Leuven) on the topic “The importance of innovation and entrepreneurship for engineers”, a tour of the De Nayer campus and a sightseeing walking tour of the city of Mechelen (Belgium).
Conducting a training week and a project coordination meeting contributed to the strengthening of creative ties between the participants of the international consortium and testified to the successful implementation of the WORK4CE project.
