Development of the Zaporizhia region: University, business and territorial communities
A round table “University, Business and Territorial Communities” was held at Zaporizhia Polytechnic. The meeting took place on August 17 with the participation of heads and representatives of communities of the Zaporizhia region.
The Zaporizhia regional branch of the Association of Local Governments “Association of United Territorial Communities” acted as a co-organizer of the event. Thanks to it, 64 participants from over 50 territorial communities and military administrations of the Zaporizhia region took part in the round table (including 35 heads of communities and heads of military administrations).
The discussion was started by the rector of Zaporizhia Polytechnic, Viktor Greshta. He reported on the results of the work within the direction presented at the previous meeting of this format, and outlined a general plan for the next six months.
The Head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration Yuriy Malashko emphasized the importance of creating a mechanism for maximum integration of citizens into state-building processes after returning to the deoccupied territories and cooperation between communities, scientists and the administration in matters of regional development.
The Head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration council Olena Zhuk drew attention to the importance of involving young people in the implementation of practical solutions aimed at the development of our region and the participation of Zaporizhia Polytechnic in this process.
During the round table, Viktor Greshta and the head of the Zaporizhia regional branch of the Association of Local Governments “Association of United Territorial Communities” Ihor Hnatusha signed a memorandum of cooperation, the subject of which is equal partnership and cooperation in the areas of scientific research, dual education, employment, internships and internships for higher education students.
In general, the following issues were discussed: development of development strategies and formation of plans for the restoration of territorial communities, joint grant activities, accounting and compensation for losses of territorial communities, staffing programs for the restoration and development of territorial communities.
The achievements within the framework of the joint project of the university and the charitable foundation “Let’s Rebuild Our Ukraine” to provide the population with clean drinking water were also presented.
