A representative of Zaporizhzhya Polytechnic took part in "International Week" and "UNITA Days: Cultural diversity in higher education"
Associate professor of the department of software tools of Zaporizhzhya Polytechnic National University Tetyana Kolpakova took part in “International Week” and “UNITA Days: Cultural diversity in higher education” (Transylvania University, Brasov, Romania), which took place from
March 31 to April 4. More than 40 representatives from 21 countries took part in the events.
Transylvania University of Brasov is the largest institution of higher education in the central part of Romania (18 faculties). It has more than 20,000 students studying forestry, engineering, economics, medicine and art.
The main goal of the events was to popularize cultural diversity as an important element in the higher education system, which will make universities more attractive for studying and prepare students for “global citizenship”.
Participants exchanged experiences and shared the best practices of cultural training of students and employees within the Erasmus+ mobility program, as well as discussed administrative aspects of international cooperation. The program also included interactive workshops on intercultural communication and emotional intelligence, meetings with representatives of the university community, as well as excursions to cultural monuments, including Bran Castle.
The events are organized within the UNITA alliance, which unites 12 universities from 7 countries, whose joint activities are aimed at the development of the European educational space and the support of border and mountain regions.
