TUESWU Grantwriting School Offline Presentation Event
On August 15–17, the final offline presentation event of the TUESWU Grantwriting School was held in Lviv, a series of seminars aimed at developing skills in preparing grant applications and project management.
The final meeting was preceded by fruitful work of the teams in an online format for a month and a half on the development of their own grant projects. One of the teams included the head of the Primary Trade Union Organization of Students, Postgraduate Students and Doctoral Students of the Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University Svitlana Karpenko, deputy head Sofiia Stepanenko and representatives of the trade union of students of the Kharkiv National University of Urban Economy named after O.M. Beketov.
At each stage, the participants received constant support and professional guidance from mentors Anna Pugacheva and Illia Yurchenko, as well as project coordinator Olha Chabanyuk, deputy head of the Trade Union of Education and Science Workers of Ukraine.
Event program provided for a number of thematic sessions dedicated to topical issues in the field of grantmaking. Participants took part in the workshop «Typical mistakes in grant writing», a panel discussion on the features of grant work in Ukraine, got acquainted with successful practices of implementing international partnership projects, and also studied the possibilities of using artificial intelligence tools in the process of preparing grant applications.
A key part of the program was the presentation of the teams’ grant projects, during which participants had the opportunity to present their own work, receive professional recommendations, and discuss the prospects for further implementation of the initiatives.
Based on the results of training and participation in the program, participants received certificates confirming successful completion of the TUESWU Grantwriting School.
Today, grant applications have already been formed that have the potential for practical implementation. Ahead is the implementation of the ideas developed and the transformation of the developed initiatives into real changes for the trade union movement.
