The Department of Psychology of Zaporizhzhya Polytechnic National University celebrated the All-Ukrainian Day of the Psychologist

April 23 is the All-Ukrainian Psychologist’s Day, and this year the Department of Psychology of the Zaporizhia Polytechnic National University supported its long-standing tradition – spending this day in the circle of the professional community of teachers, undergraduate and graduate students, graduates, partners, and fellow psychologists. On the occasion of the holiday, an online event was held with a rich and interesting program of master classes, mini-lectures, and workshops. More than 70 participants joined the event.

The festive events began with solemn congratulations from the Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences, Taisia ​​Gayvoronska, and continued with congratulatory words from the department’s teachers, applicants, stakeholders, and graduates of different years. Participants also had the opportunity to leave their warm greetings and wishes on an interactive online board.

The event program included master classes from the department’s professors and graduates – professional psychologists, as well as mini-lectures and workshops from our talented bachelor’s and master’s degree students:
?Professor of the department Nataliya Savelyuk held an interesting master class on the topic “Psychosomatic reactions to various life situations”, during which participants had the opportunity to explore their psychosomatic reactions using psychodiagnostic methods and art therapy techniques
?Professor of the department Iryna Burlakova held a master class on the topic “My psychological exoskeleton: invisible supports for visible results”, which inspired active action. Participants learned about key psychological supports — from bodily resources to the inner voice, received practical tools to strengthen them
?practical psychologist of the Zaporizhia Polytechnic National University, trainer and consultant of WHO scaled interventions Mykola Novotarsky spoke about the main tasks and challenges of the psychological service of the higher education institution, about the main areas of work of the Psychological Service of our university, invited applicants of the department to practice and reminded about the possibility of receiving free psychological assistance for applicants of our university
?crisis psychologist, Gestalt therapist, family, group, art psychotherapist Kateryna Rakytyanska conducted a resource master class on the interesting and mysterious topic “With Loving Eyes”; during the work, participants had the opportunity, through soft techniques of self-exploration, to recall their strong traits that have been inherent in them since childhood, to meet their inner child; were able to reconnect with the inner source of sincerity, warmth, and self-love — to look at themselves with loving eyes.
?Master’s student in Psychology (СНз–114м) Margarita Starchenko, who this year became one of the winners of the 1st stage of the All-Ukrainian Competition of Student Scientific Papers in Psychology, held a thorough mini-lecture with a workshop on the topic “Training Programs and Interventions for Developing Resilience”, during which she also offered resourceful practical exercises.

Students in Psychology (СН–111 group), who this academic year developed their own mini-lectures on topical topics while studying the OK “Psychology Teaching Methods”, added bright colors to our holiday. Anastasia Bashliy gave a mini-lecture followed by an active discussion on the topic “Gender Identity and Sexuality: A Modern Approach in Psychology”. Anastasia Gorodnycha gave a mini-lecture on the topic “Psychology of False Memories: How the Brain Creates What Wasn’t There?”, which aroused great interest among the audience. Valeria Vysochyna interested everyone in the topic of procrastination in her mini-lecture with a workshop on the topic “Why Do We Procrastinate? Psychology of Procrastination”; the lecture aroused lively interest in the audience and touched the hearts of many participants.
