Information event "Window to Europe: Research infrastructures and new opportunities of Horizon Europe"

On May 28, the information event “Window to Europe: Research infrastructures and new opportunities of Horizon Europe” was held, dedicated to open competitive opportunities of the Horizon Europe program in the field of development of research infrastructures. The event was organized by the National Contact Point in the field of “Research Infrastructures” in cooperation with the Department of Project Activities of the Zaporizhia Polytechnic National University.

The event was opened by vice-rector Vadym Shalomeev, who congratulated researchers, project managers and representatives of the academic community. He outlined the strategic importance of the participation of Ukrainian institutions in EU programs and the importance of institutional readiness for such initiatives.

During the event, an overview of the competitions of the Work Program 2025 in the direction “Research infrastructures” was presented. The leading expert of the NCP “Research Infrastructures” Larisa Tumarchenko and the secretary of the department of project activities of the Zaporizhzhya Polytechnic University Darya Khmara highlighted the thematic priorities, expected results and features of the conditions of participation.

The second part of the event was devoted to the preparation of project applications. Maria Pavlenko, the head of the project activity department of Zaporizhzhya Polytechnic University, shared practical advice on formulating proposals, outlined the criteria for evaluating them and typical mistakes that can affect the success of an application.

During the question session, participants asked questions and received thorough answers from the speakers of the event.
