Seminar “Tebis Software – New Design Quality”

On April 22, the Department of Metal-Cutting Machine Tools and Tools, with the support of AMS International (Poland) and AMS-ZP Lab, held a seminar “Tebis Software – New Design Quality” in a mixed format.

More than 50 people participated, including not only our students and teachers, but also invited guests from leading enterprises and educational institutions of the Zaporizhia region and Ukraine.

Vice-Rector Vadim Shalomeyev welcomed the participants. The seminar was conducted by Serhiy Tanchenko, a senior lecturer at the Department of Metal-Cutting Machine Tools and Tools, and its head, Mykhailo Frolov.

During the seminar, new functional capabilities of the Tebis software were considered, which provides a full production cycle and its automation:
– Reverse Engineering — creation of high-quality CAD models based on scanned data and MESH geometry for further processing
– SmartOps technology — intelligent automation of CAD/CAM processes, which allows combining operations and significantly reducing production preparation time
– Laser Cutting — construction of multi-coordinate trajectories for laser cutting taking into account the geometry of the part and avoiding collisions
– Trimming — effective formation of NC programs for processing sheet materials and complex surfaces

In addition, the participants got acquainted with SuPAR — an augmented reality system for controlling assembly operations and finished products.
