Department of «Electricity Supply of Industrial Enterprises»
Year of beginning of activity: 1968
About us
In 1965, the first electrical engineers graduated from the walls of the future «Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic Institute», and in 1968 the Department of Electricity Supply of Industrial Enterprises was established. The emergence of the department was a challenge to the Zaporizhzhia region for the need for energy specialists, who were urgently needed by the enterprises «Zaporizhstal», «Dneprospetsstal», «Aluminum Plant», «Titanium-Magnesium Plant», «Motor-Sich», an automobile plant, a transformer plant, «Converter» and many others.
Over time, the acceleration of scientific and technological progress required the creation of energy-efficient, economical, reliable energy and power supply systems for industrial enterprises, cities, and agriculture; the implementation of research in design, research and scientific and production institutions.
Therefore, the Department of Power Supply of Industrial Enterprises and its staff chose the direction of training in-demand power specialists.
