To ensure comfortable living conditions in the dormitory, the following staff members are on duty: the dormitory director, the registration clerk, the housekeeper, security guards (on a rotating basis), cleaning staff, groundskeepers, a plumber, a carpenter, an electrician, and a resident advisor. An integral part of life at the Zaporizhzhia Electrotechnical Vocational College of the National University “Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic” is the student council, which consists of the dormitory student council president and floor representatives. They actively engage in educational, advocacy, and organizational work among students. The dormitory student council regularly organizes student leisure activities: contests, sports competitions, holiday discos, and so on.
Bulletin boards are located on every floor, which facilitates the rapid dissemination of information among students regarding important matters of daily life and social significance. On the first floor, there is a cafeteria serving delicious and fresh food. On the second floor, there is an auditorium with a large plasma TV. On the fourth floor, there is a student recreation room where dorm residents can spend their free time.

In August 2014, an electronic “Turnstile” system and video surveillance cameras were installed to enhance security in the dormitory and prevent unauthorized persons from entering the premises. Entry to and exit from the dormitory is controlled by the turnstile system using special electronic passes. Every dormitory resident is required to have their own personal electronic pass. Transferring it to unauthorized persons is strictly prohibited.
The dormitory takes pride in the fact that in the fall of 2014, it participated in the citywide “Best Dormitory” competition and won in the “Modern Technologies” category.
Students in priority categories have the right to priority accommodation in the dormitory—orphans, students affected by the Chernobyl disaster, low-income students, children of miners, and students with disabilities.
