Visit of a delegation from Bulgaria to the Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University
On the last day of March 2021, a delegation from Bulgaria visited the Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University at the initiative of the Head of the Department of General Law and Political Sciences Arabadzhieva D.Yu. The delegation included: Kyrylo Kirov, Vice-Rector of the Technical University-Varna and Gesho Lyubenov, Deputy Director of the «Professional School of Computer Modeling», Director of the Tural Group of Companies.
Purpose of the visit: getting acquainted with the university and discussing issues of cooperation in the field of education and scientific activity.
The Technical University-Varna was founded in 1962. This is an autonomous institution, which includes 4 faculties (computer and automatic, electrical, shipbuilding and the faculty of production engineering and technologies) with 22 departments, 2 colleges and the department of mathematics and foreign languages.
The university has approximately 5,000 full-time and part-time students and postgraduates. The university offers 24 bachelor’s and 48 master’s degree programs.
The guests visited the Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic Museum and met with the university leadership, headed by the first vice-rector Gugnin E.A. The meeting was attended by vice-rector for scientific work and international activities Naumyk V.V. and head of the Center for Internationalization and International Cooperation Plynokos D.D. Areas of possible cooperation in the field of science and education, as well as the development of partnership relations between the two universities, were discussed. Cooperation between the universities will contribute to creating conditions for the further development of international academic mobility of students, postgraduates and teachers, will contribute to improving the quality of education, and the development of intercultural exchange. It was proposed to sign a framework agreement on mutually beneficial cooperation.
Thus, our university, even in difficult quarantine conditions due to the COVID-19 pandemic, continues to develop international ties related to the course of European integration.
