Opening of the International Scientific Conference «Advanced & Novel Technologies – Interdisciplinary Collaboration on Materials Science 2025 (ANTICM-2025)»
On February 25, the grand opening of the International Scientific Conference «Advanced & Novel Technologies — Interdisciplinary Collaboration on Materials Science 2025 (ANTICM-2025)» was held, dedicated to the 125th anniversary of Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic University and the 80th anniversary of the Department of Physical Materials Science.
The conference brought together leading scientists from the field of materials science to present the modern results of research on the development of new modern materials and the improvement of technologies for their production, the formation of an increased set of operational properties. The participants presented their current research, exchanged ideas, discussed the problems of the industry and current trends in its development.
Rector of Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic University Viktor Hreshta solemnly opened the conference and emphasized the importance of scientific research in materials science for the development of the latest additive technologies, aircraft engine engineering, power engineering and medicine, especially in difficult times for Ukraine.
The participants were greeted by heads of universities, research institutes, famous scientists, representatives of industrial enterprises and international partners: rector of Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute Yevhen Sokol, rector of Dnipro Polytechnic Oleksandr Azyukovsky, deputy director for scientific work of the Physico-Mechanical Institute named after G.V. Karpenka of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine Myroslav Khoma, director of the Institute of Mechanical Engineering and Transport of the Lviv Polytechnic Roman Kachmar, director of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Materials Science and Welding named after E.O. Paton of Ihor Sikorskyi KPI Ihor Vladimirskyi, head of the experimental and testing complex of SE «Ivchenko-Progress» Yurii Torba, adviser to the director of UkrNDispecsstal Yevhen Sotnikov, vice-rector for scientific work of the technical university «Metinvest Polytechnic» Volodymyr Kuhar, head of the physics department of the State Technical University «Priazov State Technical University» Vasyl Yefremenko, vice-rector for scientific and international activities of the Alfred Nobel University Viktoriia Sokolova, corresponding member of the National Academy of Sciences of the Higher School of the Republic of Kazakhstan Gulmira Yar-Muhamedova, dean of the International College of Physical Sciences and Technology, School of Computer Sciences and Informatics of Cardiff University Omer Rana, deputy chief metallurgist of PJSC «Kryukiv Carriage Construction Plant» Andriy Maveev, deputy director Production and commercial firm «Impex» LLC Oleksandr Sydorenko.
During the plenary session with the participation of leading domestic scientists, scientists from Europe, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, key aspects of the development of modern materials science and prospects for cooperation in this field were discussed.
The conference continues its work until February 27.
