NU «Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic» is a participant in a pilot project to provide state aid for education to children of certain categories of persons who defended the independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine.

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine continued the implementation of the Ministry of Veterans’ Affairs project, which provides for the provision of state assistance for the payment of tuition fees for children of veterans. This concerns students who study at the expense of individuals (contract).

State aid is provided once in the 2024/25 or 2025/26 or 2026/27 academic year to applicants for professional pre-higher, higher education – citizens of Ukraine who study full-time (full-time) and part-time at the expense of individuals (i.e. under a contract), regardless of their previously received level of education, who at the time of confirmation of consent to participate have not reached 23 years of age and belong to certain categories of persons.

The list of categories of persons eligible to receive targeted assistance can be viewed at the link: https://telegra.ph/Perel%D1%96k-kategoor%D1%96j-os%D1%96b-yak%D1%96-mayut-pravo-otrimati-derzhavnu-dopomogu-09-11

If a student has already used the program before, assistance will not be provided again.

There are many myths and fears surrounding the admission of young people from the temporarily occupied territories to Ukrainian educational institutions. They often arise due to a lack of information or misinformation about how the processes actually work.

In this post, we will analyze some of them and show what solutions and opportunities are actually provided.

Assistance with admission is provided by the educational centers «Crimea-Ukraine» and «Donbas-Ukraine», which operate from June 1 to September 30. They provide support at all stages: from completing the necessary assessments to passing the interview and submitting documents. Some of the processes can be completed remotely, even before departure.

Free housing is provided upon enrollment, as well as additional state support and assistance with adaptation after moving. After enrollment, students can apply for a scholarship in accordance with current legislation.

If you are just planning to leave, contact us. As part of the initiative of the President of Ukraine, Bring Kids Back UA helps to leave free of charge, confidentially and with full support – even if there are no documents. A safe route is selected for everyone.

If you are not ready to enroll immediately, preparatory programs are available, including a «zero course» to brush up on your knowledge of the Ukrainian studies component, adapt, and calmly prepare for your studies.

You do not have to go through the admission and study independently — there is support and guidance at every stage.

The 3 fears that most often prevent children and young people from leaving the occupation are the fear of mobilization, the fear of being left without documents, and the fear of losing their home.

For years, Russia has been fueling these myths so that people remain under the control of the Russian Federation. But the truth is different: departure is possible, and after returning, a person is not left alone with challenges.

Within the framework of the initiative of the President of Ukraine Bring Kids Back UA and in cooperation with partners, children and youth can receive:
– assistance with departure
– legal support
– support with documents
– consultations on education
– assistance with adaptation after return

In the carousel, we debunk the most common myths about leaving the TOT and explain where to look for proven help.
