Participation of a representative of Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic University in a meeting of the Scientific Council on Tourism at the DART of Ukraine at the Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic University

On March 26, Professor of the Department of Tourism, Hotel and Restaurant Business Tetyana Shelemetyeva joined the meeting of the Scientific Council for Tourism at the State Agency for Tourism Development of Ukraine with the participation of the First Deputy Head of the State Agency for Tourism Development Taras Lozynsky.

During the meeting, the work plan of the Scientific Council for 2026/2027 was approved, which provides for:
– development and implementation of tasks for strategic management and regulatory support for sustainable tourism development
– post-war recovery by region, transformation of education and science
– implementation of innovations in the context of digitalization and inclusion

Taras Lozynsky outlined the conceptual principles for developing the National Strategy for Development and Recovery tourism in Ukraine and the role of scientific work in its formation.

The participants of the meeting discussed the possibilities of involving expert scientists from EU partner universities in reviewing sections of the National Strategy, creating international research platforms for analyzing the sustainability of the industry in the face of global challenges.

After the meeting, the members of the Scientific Council got acquainted with the material and technical base of Zaporizhia Polytechnic University, and also met with the staff of the Department of Tourism and Hotel and Restaurant Business.
