The mission of the faculty is to train highly qualified specialists and well-rounded individuals capable of solving complex problems in the fields of architecture, construction, design, and composite materials, which are particularly important for the domestic and global economy. Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University is one of the leading higher education institutions in the Zaporizhzhia region, training specialists for state and private enterprises who will rebuild the country and develop modern architectural and design projects, as well as new composite and powder materials.

Department of "Occupational and Environmental Safety"

History of the Faculty of Civil Engineering, Architecture and Design

In accordance with the decision of the Academic Council of ZNTU No. 2 dated 10.10.2017 and the general meeting of ZNTU dated 10.10.2017, on the initiative of the rector of ZNTU, Professor S.B. Belikov, a new structural unit was formed within the Physics and Technology Institute – the Faculty of Construction, Architecture and Design (Dean of the Faculty, Professor E.Yu. Antipenko). The faculty includes the following departments: “Design”, “Construction and Project Management”, “Composite Materials, Chemistry and Technologies”, “Entrepreneurship, Trade and Stock Exchange Activities”, “Occupational and Environmental Protection” and “Mechanics”.

The merger of these departments into a faculty is the creation of a new and progressive faculty, the students of which, after graduation, will be highly qualified specialists in construction production, architecture, design and composite materials and will have modern knowledge to ensure the economic attractiveness of future architectural, construction and design products of the Zaporizhia region.

After optimizing the university structure in 2024, the faculty will include four departments:

– construction production and project management (Assoc. Prof. Nazarenko O.M.);

– design (Assoc. Prof. Pavlenko T.O.);

– composite materials, chemistry and technologies (Prof. Mityaev O.A.);

– occupational health and environmental protection (Assoc. Prof. Nesterov O.V.).

The main areas of activity of the faculty are ensuring and organically combining high-quality teaching and scientific work of students and faculty staff.
