About us
The Department of Composite Materials, Chemistry and Technologies of the Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University is a leading center for training highly qualified specialists in the field of materials science of composite and powder materials and coatings. The need for training specialists in this specialty is determined by a large number of enterprises and organizations in the metallurgical, mechanical engineering, transport, energy, and construction industries. The urgent need for specialists is dictated by the prospects for the development of the region.
The mission of our department is to approach teaching, which combines theoretical training with practical training of students in the field of composite, powder materials, and coating.

Material and technical support and laboratories
Educational laboratory for the study of metal processing processes
Provides students with the acquisition of practical skills in researching the impact of processing technology on the physical, mechanical and service properties of structural materials
Educational laboratory of powder and composite materials
Ensures that students acquire practical skills in the development, design, manufacture and research of powder and composite materials, as well as products made from them
Educational and production workshop on materials processing
It ensures that students acquire practical skills in mechanical methods of processing materials
Educational laboratory of chemical research methods
It ensures that students acquire practical skills in the technique of laboratory work in chemistry and related technical areas. Practicing the skills of chemical methods of researching samples of various nature and consolidating theoretical knowledge of chemistry and ecology
