Final round of the hackathon «Student Tech Challenge»
The final round of the hackathon «Student Tech Challenge» took place in early November.
Huawei Ukraine organized competitions for Ukrainian students in 4 areas:
- Radio Access Network Planning
- Thermal tasks
- Project Management
- Transport Network Engineering
3 teams were formed from students of the Faculty of Information Security and Electronic Communications of the Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University. 8 students arrived in Kyiv to participate in offline events, and 3 more took part in the online event.
Our students were supported and supervised by Oleksandr Shchukin, a graduate student at the Department of Information Technologies of Electronic Media.
On November 4 and 5, students presented and defended their projects at pitching events.
On November 6, the organizers of the hackathon gave the guests of the city an extensive tour of Kyiv.
On November 7 and 8, all participants in the competition received training in digital security and cyber hygiene at the Huawei office. Students also had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with technical equipment and software and talk to Huawei specialists.
According to the results of the jury’s evaluation, our students took 3rd place in the Project Management nomination. Congratulations to Artem Zhulay and Volodymyr Chernyshev.
All participants of the hackathon were presented with useful gifts from Huawei.
After the awards ceremony, the Student Tech Challenge 2025 from Huawei Ukraine was announced, in which our students are already planning to participate.
