Classes of the «Carousel of directions» circle of the Children’s and Youth Scientific University «Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic»
The class was full of interesting research and discoveries! The students saw a lot of new things and gained basic knowledge of applied mechanics and mechanical engineering. First, the children understood the features of the caliper. Everyone was able to try their hand at measuring the length and inner radius with this tool. Then the students moved on to calculating the volume of the figure and methods of determining the weight of the part based on the data obtained.
The next stage is the study of metal powders. Students learned what powder flow is and how to measure it. Then they moved on to work with a large press. Metal cylinders were made from the powder under a pressure of 5, 10, and 15 tons, and after that, they studied how their size changed with different pressures.
