From «Raduga» straight to «Zarechnaya Street»!
In addition to the solemn celebration of the May holidays, Zaporizhzhia has recently been captivated by another extremely grandiose event. Of course, we are talking about the unique concert show «Spring on Zarechnaya Street». The event was held loudly, and most importantly successfully, on April 28 at the cascade of fountains «Raduga» at the initiative of the TV channel «Inter» with the support of the Federation of Employers of Ukraine headed by Dmytro Firtash and the Zaporizhzhia Regional State Administration headed by Oleksandr Peklushenko, and was dedicated to none other than «Her Majesty the Man of Labor».
Of course, the trade union committee of ZNTU students took an active part in the preparation for the large-scale spectacle and was happy to help the organizers. From the students of their native «Mashynka», a responsible team of about 110 volunteers was selected, who met and accompanied the guests of the city from all over the Zaporizhzhia region and Ukraine. Our volunteers started working in advance: at the meeting they received relevant instructions from the chairman of the trade union committee of ZNTU students Andriy Ivanchenko, contacted their delegations and in the morning, on the eve of the concert, cheerfully set off to meet the out-of-town spectators. We successfully escorted the buses to their destination and took the dear guests to the viewing, finding an individual approach to each one. At the concert, remembering the words of Andriy Volodymyrovych, we closely monitored order, and, fortunately, everything went without excesses. After the festive concert, the volunteers gathered their delegations and sent them back home. The guests were satisfied not only with the concert, but also with the work of our students, which the heads of the delegations personally informed us about. And this cannot but please, because the volunteers of ZNTU, unlike volunteers from other educational institutions, had the honor of doing perhaps the most responsible work. The volunteers of ZNTU, together with the rector of the university, Serhiy Borisovich Belikov, spent almost 12 hours at work: from 12.00 in the morning to 12.00 at night. Therefore, the absolutely right choice was made in recruiting a friendly team, and as a result, our university again coped with the task set!
Of course, we are glad that we have earned the honor of being called an important, integral part of the event, which presents our native Zaporizhzhia to the whole country as a city-worker, industrial, spiritual and national-cultural center of Ukraine. We hope that we will be able to serve our small homeland for the benefit of many, many more times!
