Universities do not purchase educational documents at an inflated price
The Ministry of Education has denied information that universities purchase diploma forms 20 times more expensive than the cost price
As reported by the press service of the Ministry of Education, some mass media outlets, due to their incompetence, have spread false information regarding the cost of producing educational documents.
In particular, the report stated that the state enterprise «Inforesurs» – the authorized body of the Ministry of Education and Sports for providing educational institutions with educational documents – purchases educational document forms from the State Enterprise «PC »Zorya«, which are produced by printing at UAH 1.49, and sells to educational institutions – 36.30 UAH.
In this regard, the Ministry of Education reports that the State Enterprise »Inforesurs« purchases documents on education in compliance with the laws of Ukraine.
The report notes that the State Enterprise »Inforesurs« purchases forms of documents on education, which are produced by printing (a total of 23 types of forms), from the State Enterprise »PK «Zorya». The specified document forms have different prices. Most of them, which are sold to educational institutions – supplements to the diploma of higher education, which the state enterprise purchases for 0.90 UAH, and sells to educational institutions for 1.20 UAH, and diplomas for foreign citizens who graduated from a higher educational institution of Ukraine, which the state enterprise purchases for 18.90 UAH, and sells to educational institutions for 22.20 UAH.
The state enterprise purchases documents on education, which are produced on the basis of photocomputer technologies, from the information and technical administrator of the information and production system «Education» for 33.96 UAH, and only these documents on education are sold to educational institutions for 36.30 UAH, of which 2.34 UAH is the cost of services provided by the state enterprise in providing educational institutions with documents on education.
The Ministry of Youth and Sports calls on representatives of the mass media who have spread false information to refute it, and in the future, when preparing articles, to operate only with official information and not to mislead their readers.
