Helvetas Ukraine visit to Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic
On January 21, representatives of the separate division of the Swiss organization Helvetas Swiss Intercooperation in Ukraine visited Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic University.
We presented the initiatives and projects of the Polytechnic: the opening of the Energy Innovation and European Digital Innovation hubs at our base, the process of confirming existing or acquiring new skills at the Qualification Center, assistance to internally displaced people with job searches, dual education and training of schoolchildren at the Children’s and Youth Scientific University of the Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic.
Despite the war, the Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic is developing and opening new laboratories, during the tour the material and technical base of the university was presented:
- Green gigawatt project — work with renewable energy sources for schoolchildren
- Avionics center «AVIAGRADE-ZAPORIZHZHIA POLYTECHNIC» — development, creation, implementation and use of unmanned systems for various purposes
- Educational hub for displaced teachers — an innovative workspace for conducting educational events and supporting relocated teachers
- laboratories of avionics, microprocessor technology, electric drive and automation of industrial installations, where students and even schoolchildren participate in practical classes in specialized disciplines
- helicopter and aircraft engine laboratory — educational and scientific activities in the fields of aviation and space
- laboratory of lifting and transport mechanisms, where students learn to operate specialized equipment
- laboratories of radio technical systems and network telecommunication technologies
Also, we showed our shelters and discussed the prospects of modernization for a comfortable stay of people for different periods of time.
