Congratulations on the victory in the regional stage of the Taras Shevchenko International Language and Literary Competition for Schoolchildren and Student Youth
On December 23, the regional stage of the XIV Taras Shevchenko International Language and Literary Competition for Schoolchildren and Student Youth took place, in which 104 contestants took part, including 13 students from higher education institutions in Zaporizhzhia region.
The welcoming remarks were made by the Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Science of the Zaporizhzhia Regional State Administration Viktor Zakharchuk, Vice-Rector for Scientific and Methodological Work of the Higher Educational Institution «Zaporizhzhia Regional Institute of Postgraduate Pedagogical Education» of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Council Olena Varetska, Dean of the Faculty of Philology of ZNU, Secretary of the Organizing Committee of the Competition Iryna Bondarenko, Head of the Department of Ukrainian Literature of ZNU Nataliia Gorbach.
The speakers emphasized the symbolism of the event itself, which in times of war unites connoisseurs of Shevchenko’s prophetic word, despite the difficult modern conditions under which educational institutions of the front-line Zaporizhzhia region carry out the educational process in a distance format.
According to the results of the regional stage of the intellectual creative competition, second-year student of Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic Viktoriya Kovtun (BAD-532) won among students of higher education institutions with a non-humanitarian profile. For the second year in a row, Viktoriia has taken first place both at the university stage of this prestigious international competition and at its regional stage under the scientific guidance of her mentor, Associate Professor of the Department of Ukrainian Studies and General Language Training Halyna Onufrienko.
In 2024, at the final nationwide stage of this intellectual creative competition, Zaporizhzhia Oblast will be represented, as at the previous XIII International Taras Shevchenko Competition, by a student of our university, Viktoriia Kovtun.
Congratulations to the student and her scientific supervisor on their outstanding achievement! We wish you creative inspiration, productive preparation for the national stage and successful participation in it!
