Congratulations to the participants of the 48th scientific and technical conference of youth from Zaporizhstal PJSC!

On November 14, students of higher education of the Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic took part in the session of the student projects section of the 48th Scientific and Technical Youth Conference on the occasion of the 91st anniversary of Zaporizhstal PJSC. This year’s conference was dedicated to the World Day of Science for Peace and Development, which is celebrated every year on November 10.

After pre-selection, the authors of 16 reports were invited to present their scientific work at the online conference, among which 11 were prepared by Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic students in co-authorship with our scientific and pedagogical staff. The competition commission highly appreciated the level of preparation of our students and the quality of the presented reports.

Andrii Logvynenko, a student of the Faculty of Engineering and Physics, was awarded a diploma for the best report! The topic of his report was «Using artificial intelligence and machine learning in metallurgy» (supervisor – senior lecturer Mykhailo Hnatenko). According to experts, artificial intelligence and machine learning in metallurgy is a surprisingly relevant and promising field of research, this report became the subject of a lively discussion and exchange of experiences.
