Opening of the exhibition dedicated to the 210th anniversary of the birth of Taras Shevchenko at the Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic University

During the year, Ukraine honors the great artist – Taras Hryhorovych Shevchenko. On May 2, an exhibition dedicated to the 210th anniversary of the artist’s birth was solemnly opened at the Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University.

Among the exhibits are the works of the winners of the drawing competition from the Faculty of Architecture, Construction and Design:

– in the nomination «Image of Taras Shevchenko in Modern Times»:

1st place – Liliya Rudenko

2nd place – Daryna Donovska

– in the nomination «Draw a line from a poem»:

1st place – Oleksandra Sychova and Nataliya Davydenko

2nd place – Veronika Sychova and Kateryna Pasieka

3rd place – Margarita Tymchyshyna and Kateryna Pasholok

We congratulate the winners and wish them creative inspiration for future achievements!

The opening ceremony of the exhibition was attended by Vice-Rector Andriy Ivanchenko, Dean of the Faculty of Construction, Architecture and Design Vira Savchenko and Director of the Museum Nataliia Derkach. The winners were also congratulated by invited guests: the head of the Zaporizhzhia regional public organization «Let’s Preserve the Sacred Places of Zaporizhzhia» Svyatoslav Shcherbyna, university teachers and staff of the scientific library. The guests listened to the poet’s poems with pleasure and sang the song «The Wide Dnieper Roars and Groans».
