The creation of a laboratory of advocacy is a significant and important step in the development of practical legal education in Zaporizhzhia. Thanks to the creation of the laboratory, our students will be able to gain academic knowledge and immediately learn about the realities of its implementation in the practical work of lawyers and advocates today.
Practical classes, lectures, meetings with practicing lawyers and representatives of legal institutions – all this is already on the laboratory’s schedule. Students will now have even more opportunities: improving their knowledge of preparing procedural documents, practicing public speaking under the guidance of current lawyers, conducting negotiations and legal analysis of cases.
The work in the laboratory will be attended by both university lecturers: Professor Maksym Leonenko, Associate Professors Liliya Baeva, Pavlo Nazarenko and Maksym Deev, and practicing lawyers: Iryna Vasylyk – lawyer, candidate of historical sciences, vice-rector of the National Academy of Law of the Ukrainian Bar Association; Olha Dmitrieva – lawyer, president of the Ukrainian Bar Association, managing partner of Dmitrieva and Partners JSC; Vadym Kravtsov – lawyer, head of the Qualification and Disciplinary Commission of the Bar of the Zaporizhzhia Region; Ihor Shmarin – lawyer, assistant to the head of the Zaporizhzhia District Administrative Court, head of the Legal Clinic of the Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University, candidate of legal sciences.
A team of professional, experienced lawyers and scientists will provide strong support to students in mastering their chosen profession. Such cooperation will contribute to the formation of a new generation of lawyers – competent, active and socially responsible.
The opening of the laboratory became a symbol of the law faculty’s movement towards innovative education, which trains not just specialists, but future leaders of the legal community of Ukraine!
