Opening of the International Scientific and Practical Conference «Business Ecosystems: Sustainable Development 2025 (BESD 2025)»
On February 3, the official opening of the International scientific and practical conference «Business Ecosystems: Sustainable Development 2025 (BESD 2025)» was held, which brought together leading experts, scientists, business representatives and governments to discuss the most relevant topics in the field of sustainable development.
Rector of Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic University Viktor Greshta solemnly opened the conference and emphasized that in the conditions of post-war recovery, it is important for Ukrainian entrepreneurs to rethink current business models and learn to apply innovative approaches that take into account both global trends and national challenges. He emphasized the importance of the university’s role in the development of business ecosystems, which consists in the formation of scientific and intellectual potential for solving global challenges of sustainable development. Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University actively promotes the integration of science, education and business through joint research projects, educational programs and initiatives, thanks to which innovative business models are constantly developing. Through cooperation with international partners, we provide students and researchers with the opportunity to join global initiatives in the field of sustainable development and environmentally friendly technologies. An important part of our activity is also the creation of conditions for academic mobility and exchange of experience, which enables the development of new approaches to business ecosystems within different countries and cultures.
Chair of the conference program committee, dean of the Faculty of Business Technologies and Economics, Professor Olena Vasilieva announced the conference program, during which it is planned to discuss global challenges and find solutions that will promote sustainable development at the national and international levels.
The participants were greeted by the Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine Denys Kurbatov, the Deputy Mayor of the City Council for the Activities of Executive Bodies Andriy Pyatnytskyi, the President of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (Employers) «Potential» Oleksandr Golovko, the heads of higher education institutions of Ukraine, as well as our international partners from Poland, Great Britain, Estonia, Lithuania, Germany, Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan.
During the plenary session, key aspects of sustainable development were discussed: digital transformation, innovative business models and environmental management. Special attention was paid to the topic of human capital, in particular the role of the academic community and universities in the formation of qualified personnel for business and society in the conditions of global challenges and war.
