From Lviv to Europe: NCP «Research Infrastructures» opens up new opportunities for scientists of the H. V. Karpenko Institute of Physics and Mechanics
On March 2-3, Nataliia Solidor, the leading specialist of the National Contact Point «Research Infrastructures» at Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic University, paid a working visit to the Karpenko Institute of Physics and Mechanics of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine (Lviv). As part of the visit, a two-day informational event was held for academic staff, researchers and representatives of the institute’s academic community.
The main goal was to acquaint the participants with current and future opportunities for participation in the EU program «Horizon Europe» in the direction of «Research infrastructures». The event contributed to deepening the understanding of the mechanisms of the program, terms of participation and practical steps for successfully submitting applications for funding.
Over the course of two days, the following issues were discussed together:
– competitions in the direction of «Research infrastructures», the opening of which is scheduled for March 10: participants received comprehensive information on the requirements, conditions of participation, evaluation criteria and application deadlines
– relevant competitions of the «Horizon Europe» program, which correspond to the scientific profile and research priorities of the G. V. Karpenka Institute of Physics and Mechanics
– practical aspects of participation in the program: building international consortia, searching for partners, preparation and registration of competitive applications, registration in the Funding & Tenders portal
Individual consultations were organized for the scientific groups of the institute regarding their specific project ideas and compliance with the requirements of open competitions.
Conducting such information events directly in scientific institutions is one of the priority directions of the work of the NCP «Research Infrastructures» at Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic University. This format makes it possible to take into account the specifics and scientific interests of a particular institution, provide targeted support and form a real readiness to participate in competitive international competitions.
The Physical and Mechanical Institute named after H. V. Karpenko is one of the leading scientific research centers of Ukraine in the field of materials science, mechanics of materials and strength physics, which opens up wide opportunities for its integration into European research infrastructures and consortia within the framework of the Horizon Europe program.
NCP «Research Infrastructures» invites scientific institutions and researchers to apply for free consulting support in preparation for participation in open tenders of the Horizon Europe program.
