Solemn awarding of the laureates of the City Program for Supporting Gifted Youth in Zaporizhzhia

On December 9, the solemn awarding of the laureates of the City Program for Supporting Gifted Youth in Zaporizhzhia was held at the Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University.

This semester, 95 students of the Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University, as well as 13 students of our separate structural units – the Humanitarian and Electrical Engineering Colleges and the College of Computer Technologies, congratulated the gifted youth.

The Rector of Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic, Viktor Greshta, and the Acting Mayor of Zaporizhzhia, Regina Kharchenko, congratulated the gifted youth. They thanked the young Polytechnicians for their active participation in the public life of the region despite all the challenges of the war in the frontline city, and also promised to support all the initiatives of our students. Together we turn dreams into progressive reality.

The students gladly took the opportunity to talk to Ms. Regina and asked important questions, in particular, they talked about increasing the amount of material support for young people and academic scholarships, gaining their first work experience, a dual form of education, creating conditions for the return of relocated young people to the city, digitalization of Zaporizhzhia, and preferential travel for students. The secretary of the Zaporizhzhia City Council also spoke about her personal experience of working in the position, in particular about the most difficult challenges, and shared her memories of her student years.
