Participation of NU «Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic» in the event «ERASMUS+ DAYS for the Youth of Ukraine: Zoom edition – SOUTH-EAST»
The team of the National Erasmus+ Office in Ukraine (EU Project) together with Erasmus Student Network Kyiv April 26, 2021 held «ERASMUS+ DAYS for the Youth of Ukraine: Zoom edition – SOUTH-EAST» on opportunities for study and practice, teaching and internships at leading European universities, youth exchanges and volunteering within the framework of the European Union Erasmus+ Program. The event was held with the support of the EU Delegation to Ukraine in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine, Eurodesk Ukraine, the Erasmus+ Youth and European Solidarity Corps Information Center, higher education institutions, Erasmus+ exchange students and Erasmus Mundus graduates.
From NU «Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic» the event was attended via Zoom by representatives of the International Affairs Department, the Erasmus+ Academic Mobility Program Coordinator at NU «Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic» prof. Department of Software Halyna Tabunshchyk, Head of the Center for Internationalization and International Cooperation Dmytro Plynokos, teachers of the Department of General Legal and Political Sciences and the Department of International Economic Relations, as well as students.
The event consisted of two parts: presentations by speakers and communication in breakout rooms on Zoom.
A presentation on the new Erasmus+ Program for 2021-2027, as well as on opportunities specifically for Ukrainian HEIs and other organizations, was given by Kateryna Zhdanova, NEO Manager in Ukraine (EU project). The speaker focused on the features and new principles of the Program: international dimension, inclusiveness, digitalization and ecology. Ms. Kateryna also spoke about individual educational opportunities within the framework of Erasmus+: exchanges for students for study and practice; exchanges for HEI employees for internships, teaching and advanced training; a full course of study at the Erasmus Mundus master’s degree for 4th-year students and graduates without age restrictions.
Vladislav Tayanovsky, Educational Projects Manager of Erasmus Student Network Kyiv, presented ESN and opportunities for students. The speaker, in particular, drew attention to volunteering within the ESN and the possibility of creating such a center in higher education institutions of Ukraine.
In the breakout room of the Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic University, Prof. of the Department of Software Engineering Halyna Tabunshchyk made a presentation. She spoke about the existing opportunities for students of Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic to participate in the academic mobility program, in particular about our international partners and the experience of students and teachers of the university in the academic mobility program.
All participants were able to learn about youth exchanges, volunteering and studying in the Erasmus Mundus joint master’s program, as well as communicate with coordinators and students participating in Erasmus+ mobility projects from leading universities in the southeastern regions.
