Participation of NCP «Research Infrastructures» of NU «Zaporizka Polytechnic» in the first educational webinar of the Office «Horizon Europe in Ukraine» of NFSU
On October 15, representatives of NCP «Research Infrastructures» took part in the first educational event organized by the «Horizon Europe in Ukraine» Office of the National Research Foundation of Ukraine (NFSU). This webinar was the start of a series of trainings aimed at strengthening the competences and effective cooperation of Ukrainian NCPs within the framework of the EU framework program «Horizon Europe».
The event was opened by the executive director of NFSU Olha Polotska, who emphasized the importance of developing a network of national contact points for Ukraine’s successful participation in the Horizon Europe program. She emphasized that the approval and support of this network by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine will contribute to the widespread involvement of domestic researchers and innovators in international projects.
Webinar participants got acquainted with the work experience of the NCP in the previous framework program «Horizon 2020» and received practical recommendations for the implementation of new projects within the framework of «Horizon Europe». Taisia Simochko, chief specialist of the Horizon Europe in Ukraine Office and former coordinator of the NCP within Horizon 2020, spoke in detail about the functions of the NCP and the specifics of their activities in the new program.
Head of the Horizon Europe Office in Ukraine department Ihor Taranov presented the Office’s activities as one of the successful projects of the Horizon Europe program.
During the practical part of the event, Nataliya Didenko, deputy head of the Office department, held a master class on using the Funding and Tenders portal. It demonstrated the possibilities of finding competitions, selecting partners and tools for scientists, including those affected by war.
Specialists of the NCP discussed with the experts of the Office relevant issues of financial and organizational support, and also agreed on mechanisms for further cooperation.
This webinar became an important stage for the organization of work and provided an opportunity for representatives of the NCP «Research Infrastructures» to gain up-to-date knowledge and prepare for new challenges in the «Horizon Europe» program.
