Participation of the Department of Journalism in the Estonian-Ukrainian media literacy project InfoTeen.Ua
During the panel discussion «The role of higher education institutions in the development of media literacy and debating culture among young people», Nataliya Ostrovska introduced the participants to the experience of the Department of Journalism in the implementation of media education initiatives – from the integration of media literacy into educational programs to the implementation of international projects that shape critical thinking and active citizenship of young people. And the master’s student and host of the media education podcast «Nowhere is the truth, children» Oleksandr Nosok talked about the team’s work on its creation.
The InfoTeen.Ua forum was the final event of the annual cooperation of Ukrainian and Estonian educators and media experts.
The program was organized by the Ministry of Education and Science of Estonia with the support of the Estonian International Development Center (ESTDEV).
Thank you for the opportunity of academic mobility! Acquaintance with Estonia’s experience in the field of media education proved that success lies not so much in technology, but in human capital, strategic cooperation and creative approaches!
