A series of events for the anniversary of International Embroidery Day
This year, Ukrainians have been celebrating the International Embroidery Day for 20 years. At the Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic, this is one of the brightest holidays of the year: colors, embroidery, unity and love. Activities took place at the university, where everyone took part!
On May 20, a master class on making embroidered key chains «Embroidered Prayer: Pocket Charm» was held. Students and employees created mini-accessories with a deep sacred meaning. Each participant had the opportunity to hand-embroider a miniature talisman keyring, which from now on will always be nearby – in your pocket or on your keys.
The master class was conducted by Iryna Soldatova, head of the «Exemplary Artistic Team» group of the «Rose» studio of decorative flowers of the Center for Children’s and Youth Creativity of the Shevchenkiv District.
The event was organized on the initiative of the scientific library of Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic University, with the assistance of the students’ trade union committee and student self-government.
The festive morning on May 21 began with a festive movement in the open air! All students and employees – in traditional clothes, proudly demonstrated their love for Ukrainian culture. Vice-rector Andrii Ivanchenko
greeted the participantsStudents of the university’s national sports aerobics team – members of the national team of Ukraine, masters of sports of Ukraine of international class and masters of sports of Ukraine in sports aerobics, absolute champions of Ukraine, winners of open international competitions, prize-winners of European and world championships.
