Digital Doppelgangers: Concept and Implementation

On November 3, the Department of Electric Drive and Automation of Industrial Installations held a scientific seminar on the topic «Digital Doppelgangers: Concept and Implementation».

Oleksandr Solomakha, Ph.D., a graduate of this department, and now an expert in the development of control systems for power electronics, energy facilities and the development of digital doubles, spoke about the use of real-time machines in scientific developments, reviewed the capabilities of Typhoon HIL hardware and software, demonstrated an example in Virtual Hardware-in-the-Loop mode on Typhoon HIL software. Typhoon HIL equipment is already actively used by well-known global enterprises. On the basis of the memorandum of cooperation between the Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic and the company Typhoon HIL GmbH, the university was provided with free licensed software and access to educational videos and text materials of the Typhoon HIL Academia online resource.
