«NADIA» SCHOLARSHIPS – ENGINEERING. Applications are being accepted
Mobility scholarships for Ukrainian researchers in engineering who wish to continue their research work at an engineering school in France

The Embassy of France in Ukraine continues to strengthen relations between the academic and scientific communities of our countries, in particular by promoting joint research in the field of engineering.
The Embassy of France in Ukraine, in partnership with the Conference of Directors of French Engineering Schools (CDEFI) and the engineering schools that are part of the CDEFI network, offering scholarships for high-level scientific internships (SSHN) to Ukrainian researchers, postgraduates and doctoral students, in laboratories of engineering schools in France.
1. Scholarship description:
Scholarship amount: 1,704 euros/month or 2,055 euros/month.
Duration: from 1 to 6 months. The start of the mobility depends on the capabilities of the researcher and the host institution.
Location: in a laboratory or research center at an engineering school in France.
Affordable accommodation provided by Campus France (accommodation costs covered by the researcher).
The French Embassy covers the costs of transport from the city of residence to the city of internship (round trip).
CDEFI will help find and establish contact with a research laboratory.
*The amount of the scholarship is determined according to the following criteria:
1,704 euros for postgraduate and doctoral students (during their thesis or for those enrolled in the 2023-2024 academic year) and for researchers who defended their thesis less than 5 years ago.
2055 euros for confirmed researchers who defended their thesis more than 5 years ago.
2. Requirements for candidates:
- be a citizen of Ukraine;
- be currently residing in Ukraine (note: researchers currently residing in France cannot apply for this fellowship program);
- belong to one of the following categories:
- be a postgraduate or doctoral student (in the process of a dissertation or enrolled in the 2023-2024 academic year);
- be a confirmed researcher registered at a higher education institution in Ukraine.
Candidates from all fields of engineering are eligible to apply.
Scientific excellence and relevance of the project will be two criteria for evaluating applications.
3. Application documents:
- Presentation of the candidate’s research project and work program for his/her stay in France.
- Name(s) of the host laboratory or research group that the candidate would like to join (maximum 3 from the attached list).
- Detailed CV in English.
- A supporting document from the institution where the candidate studies/works (example: a statement from the institution indicating the candidate’s position).

4. Submitting applications for scholarships
Applications must be sent by email to: cooperation@ifu.Kyiv.ua by 30/05/2024
Applications will be sent to research laboratories of engineering schools in France according to the wishes expressed by the scholarship applicants. If the research laboratories are unable to accept the researcher, we will forward the application to another laboratory.
The laboratories will contact applicants who wish to implement the internship at their institution between June 17 and 29.
The final results of the competition will be published on Friday, July 5, 2024. The French Embassy in Ukraine will contact the candidates by name.
